The Punjab government has decided to grant a monthly stipend to the Imams of 65,000 mosques across the province. 

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore today.

Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said the provincial government will provide financial assistance to Imams for their services.

The Chief Minister also approved the establishment of a Cybercrime cell in Punjab and ordered strict action against the illegal use of loudspeakers.
