Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a special national song titled "Shan-e-Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan" on the occasion of Gilgit-Baltistan Independence Day.

The song is written by renowned Gilgit-Baltistan poet Zeeshan Mehdi and performed in the powerful voice of singer J.J. Ali Sheena.

The national song highlights the deep devotion, national identity, and strong emotional bond of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan with Pakistan.

On this day in 1947, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan emerged victorious in their war of independence to end Dogra rule and accede to Pakistan.

The Gilgit Scouts and local bravehearts confronted Indian forces with immense courage, successfully hoisting the Pakistani flag.

Following a year-long struggle, Baltistan was also liberated from Indian occupation on August 14, 1948.
