Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to all relevant security institutions and the Ministry of Interior for maintaining law and order and providing best security arrangements across the country on Ashura.

In a statement today, he said the efforts of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, his team, Pakistan Armed Forces, Police and personnel of the security and law enforcement agencies are commendable.

The Prime Minister said Ashura concluded smoothly in an atmosphere of peace. 

He said the provincial governments, and governments of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, also ensured the best arrangements on the occasion.

He appreciated all Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and relevant ministers for ensuring foolproof security measures on Ashura.
