President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan.

In their separate statements, they expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of innocent precious lives in the incident.

They offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying for high ranks for the martyrs and patience for their loved ones.

President Asif Ali Zardari directed the relevant institutions to provide the best possible medical facilities to the injured and to make relief operations more effective.

He stressed that operations must be made more effective against the terrorists of 'Fitna Al-Hindustan' and 'Fitna Al-Khawarij' who are involved in these heinous and brutal acts backed by foreign patronage.

In his statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the sacrifices of the nation’s defenders in the war against terrorism would never go in vain.

He reiterated that the government remains fully committed to the complete eradication of terrorism from the country.
