Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the authorities concerned to ensure completion of all outstanding work related to Islamabad Model Jail project at the earliest.

He issued these directives while presiding over an important meeting in Islamabad today to review progress on Islamabad Jail Project.

He emphasized that all construction, administrative and other required matters must be completed before the inauguration next month.

The participants of the meeting were briefed on the status of the remaining tasks and measures being taken to complete the project.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry informed the meeting that he is personally overseeing the completion process of the Islamabad Model Jail project.     

He said all concerned institutions are working together to ensure completion of Islamabad jail Project within the scheduled timeline.

The Director General FIA, the Federal Prosecutor General, Inspector General Islamabad Police, Director General NCCIA and other relevant authorities attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the immediate removal of all encroachments from Islamabad and ordered that no encroachment be tolerated in the federal capital.

He gave these directions, while visiting various areas of the city today.

The Minister also reviewed cleanliness, civic facilities and beautification arrangements and inspected schools, hotels and other public places.

He directed the authorities to launch a comprehensive beautification plan for roads and green belts, besides undertaking large-scale plantation at vacant sites.
