Pakistan, Oman agree to strengthen collaboration at multilateral forums

Pakistan and Oman have agreed to further strengthen collaboration through high-level exchanges, enhanced trade and investment, people-to-people contacts, stronger business-to-business linkages and continued coordination at multilateral forums.

This came at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, in Manila, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation.

They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.

The Omani Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation and regional peace and security.

Both sides expressed concern over the recent developments in the region. They stressed the importance of upholding the ceasefire, respecting international law and working towards lasting peace and stability in the region.
