May 23, 2026

Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged international community to fulfill its long-standing promises regarding Kashmir dispute.

Speaking at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, he said the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have endured immense hardships for decades due to the unresolved issue.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that Kashmiris are once again being denied permission to visit Mazar-e-Shuhada, Eidgah, to pay tribute to martyrs and leaders, causing deep pain and disappointment among the people.

He said the people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to bear the brunt of unresolved Kashmir dispute through decades of violence, suffering, and loss.

Mirwaiz emphasized that international promises on Kashmir remain unfulfilled and urged India and Pakistan to initiate meaningful dialogue and ensure the participation of the Kashmiri people in any future resolution process.
