Member Customs Operations Syed Shakeel Shah has stressed the need for digitization of the customs department to improve its performance and strengthen the national economy.

Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said the basic infrastructure of all the customs offices across the country is being upgraded with the latest technologies.

Collector Customs Enforcement Peshawar Ayesha Basheer Wani briefed the Member Customs Syed Shakeel Shah on overall performance, administrative matters and different functions of the customs department.

Ayesha Basheer Wani also briefed him about the revamping of different warehouses of customs department of the province.

She said Artificial Intelligence Powered Cameras System have been installed at provincial headquarters to live monitor the warehouses across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
