Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The two leaders reaffirmed the deeply rooted and brotherly Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship and welcomed the signing of the Agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official/special passports.

Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity with the Kingdom and condemned the recent attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.

The two sides discussed matters pertaining to the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation under the Agreement and advancing regional peace, stability, and security.

The two sides also underscored the importance of sustained high-level exchanges and continued close coordination on bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest.
