All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India's continued occupation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its refusal to honour the Kashmiri people's UN-recognized right to self-determination are prolonging the Kashmir conflict and keeping lasting peace in South Asia out of reach.

In a statement, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas called for a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute, urging the international community and the United Nations to support a resolution based on the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The APHC urged the United Nations to break its silence over the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The statement also urged the international community to exert pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute, stressing that a free and impartial plebiscite, as envisaged in the relevant UN resolutions, remains the essential roadmap for a peaceful settlement.

The APHC called for international attention to the issue under the slogans "Resolve Kashmir," "Implement UN Resolutions" and "Secure Peace."
