In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India's intransigence and unrealistic approach towards resolving the Kashmir dispute have kept the entire region in a state of persistent tension and uncertainty.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said the Kashmiris are demanding their birthright to self-determination, recognized by the United Nations, for which India is subjecting them to brutal military force.

The APHC urged the international community to exert pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute so that peace and development could be promoted in the region. 

On the other hand, Indian police have arrested three persons in Rajouri district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian troops routinely harass and arrest Kashmiri youth, leaving thousands of Kashmiris and activists jailed across IIOJK and India on charges widely condemned by rights groups as fabricated and politically motivated.

Implicating Kashmiris in false cases and keeping them imprisoned for years in jails and detention centres is part of the Indian state's repression against Kashmiris. Thousands of Kashmiris are currently imprisoned under draconian laws such as the Public Safety Act (PSA) and the UAPA.
