Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said the government is strictly enforcing the six percent job quota for Balochistan.

Responding to a motion in the Senate, he noted that Balochistan’s quota was increased from 3.5 percent to six percent, which exceeds the province’s share of the national population. 

He informed the House that recruitment has been completed for 45,809 out of 49,162 allocated seats, and those appointed are currently serving across various departments of the Federal Government in grades 1 to 16.

He added that the process of filling the remaining 3,353 positions is underway in a transparent manner. 

The Minister firmly ruled out any possibility of transferring Balochistan’s employment quota to another province.

The House will now meet on Thursday at five p.m.
