In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the victims of the Hawal massacre in Srinagar are still awaiting justice even after the passage of 36 years.

According to Kashmir Media Service, on May 21, 1990, Indian troops opened fire indiscriminately on the funeral procession of Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, resulting in the martyrdom of 72 Kashmiris and injuries to over 200 others.
