Hasht-e Subh reported the return of Afghan refugees, deported from various countries has further exacerbated the poverty and food crisis.

According to World Food Program, food crisis in Afghanistan is out of control, with seventeen million people suffering from severe food shortages.

The WFP warned that the food crisis in Afghanistan was at record levels last year, and there is a risk that two million more children will fall victim to food shortages this year.
