Professor Rukhsana Yaqub, mother of Shaheed Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Khalid Sulehria, has said that Pakistan’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism are a source of national pride and their sacrifices will always be remembered.

She stated this in an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari on the occasion of International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism.

She said Pakistan has rendered unparalleled sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and has consistently demonstrated resilience, courage and unity in confronting the menace.

Professor Rukhsana Yaqub stressed the need to acquaint the younger generation with the sacrifices of the martyrs.

She reaffirmed that the entire nation stands united against terrorism. She said that the sacrifices of the martyrs will continue to inspire future generations to uphold peace, security and national unity.
