Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has said the government is taking legal measures to encourage the resolution of disputes before they reach the courts.

He was addressing participants of a five-day training programme on Civil, Commercial and Shariah-Integrated Mediation for Ulema during his visit to Islamabad today.

He said steps were also being taken to make pre-litigation mediation mechanisms more effective in certain matters.
