In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian authorities have intensified so-called security measures under pretext of ensuring peaceful celebrations of Hindu festival of Diwali.

According to Kashmir Media Service, special checkpoints have been established at important junctions while patrolling has been intensified to monitor movement of people.

The massive troop presence has placed daily lives of Kashmiris under constant security scrutiny.
