Pakistan, Egypt vow to strengthen cooperation across key sectors

Pakistan and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in political, economic, defence, health, pharmaceutical, and multilateral spheres.

This resolve was expressed at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty in Cairo today, on the sidelines of the R-4 Meeting.

They agreed to reinvigorate existing bilateral mechanisms to further enhance bilateral collaboration.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East.

They welcomed the recently reached peace agreement and expressed hope that its effective implementation would contribute to lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

The two ministers reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction at the positive momentum in Pakistan-Egypt ties.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Pakistan and Egypt to further deepen their close and brotherly relations.
