The Federal government has decided to withdraw restrictions regarding fuel conservation and additional austerity measures which were implemented on 9th of March, except market timings.
A notification issued by the Cabinet Division stated the Prime Minister has approved termination of all fuel conservation and additional austerity measures with immediate effect that were notified by the Cabinet Division time to time since 9th of March, except closing timings for the markets and bazaars.
The notification said shops, markets, shopping malls and bazaars, departmental and general stores would be shut down by 9 pm as per current routine. Similarly, marriage halls, marquees, commercial places, festive events would also be closed till 10 pm as per the already enforced austerity measures.
According to the notification, restaurants, cafés and food outlets would remain open till 11 pm. Home delivery and takeaway will be exempted from this ban. Similarly, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, bakeries, tandoors, milk shops, petrol and CNG pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, gyms, support facilities, IT companies and call centers will also be exempted from the ban.
The austerity measures which were being implemented prior to March 9th and were notified by the Finance and Cabinet Divisions shall remain enforced.
