Amb. Naela Chohan (Former Diplomat): The UN report has vindicated Pakistan’s narrative on Indian aggression in May this year. India had spread narrative that it carried out strikes inside Pakistan to counter terrorism. But now the UN report has rejected Indian stance and vindicated Pakistan’s narrative. The UN report actually has exposed Indian lies before the world and international community. The report is great victory of Pakistani diplomatic community. It also supports Pakistan’s serene and rational approach for global peace; if you recall Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statements in which he repeatedly said that although Pakistan had won the war against India yet Pakistan wanted peace in the region. I am glad that UN report has exposed that India was aggressor against Pakistan and India committed violation of international laws which attacking on Pakistani civilians. Even our President has also warned India that it may be welcomed if it wants to continue with such aggressive policies in future; however, Pakistan would not be bullied by anyone on the region. According to the article 51 of the UN Charter, Pakistan retaliated to Indian aggression and still reserves right to retaliate in future too. Indian policies of exporting terrorism have been badly exposed globally and in recent act of terrorism, we find two Indian nationals involved in Bondi Beach terror attack. Indian nationals carried out terror attack in Australia in connivance of Indian consulate present there. It is shameful scenario how India spreads false propaganda and pretends to be victim of terrorism. On the issue of water sharing I want to comment that India will have to receive same treatment from China over Brahmaputra river whatever India meets towards Pakistan as India has two different status on water sharing issues with China and Pakistan respectively. Indian diaspora is being criticized world over due to the insane policies being adopted by Indian government towards neighbours and minorities. Indus Water Treaty is a trilateral agreement so India can’t set this treaty in abeyance. Now the issue of Indian water aggression is with the international court and international community is delegated with the duty to take strict action against India. Modi is in a difficult situation with US, China and other global powers. He tries to get snapped with other leaders without any notice.
