At the United Nations, Pakistan has called for steps to end the deepening humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and revival of economy of war-torn country.
Speaking at the Security Council, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram urged the international community to fulfil Secretary-General's appeal for over four billion dollars humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.
He said Pakistan attaches its foremost priority to eliminate the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan because peace and stability in that neighbouring country is of vital concern.
He emphasised to revive the Afghan economy and inject back the frozen Afghan assets into the Afghan financial system.
Pakistan Envoy warned that if the humanitarian crisis does not end in Afghanistan, there would be another flow of refugees in Pakistan and other neighbouring countries.
He also expressed concern over terrorism emanating from Afghanistan.
