Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the defence of Haramain al-Sharifain.
He was responding to various points raised by the Leader of the Opposition, Raja Nasir Abbas, in the Senate today.
The Minister said that all legal and constitutional requirements had been fulfilled regarding the imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile, the House passed two condolence resolutions, paying rich tribute to the late Senators Taj Muhammad Afridi and Jamal Said Mian for their services to democracy.
The Senate also offered Fateha for the departed souls and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
