Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, says the government is taking effective steps to attract investment.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad today, he said the government aims to have thirty percent electric vehicles on the road by the year 2030.

He stressed that charging stations for electric vehicles are essential to promote an electric vehicle culture. He said charging facilities have been made mandatory in the parking areas of high-rise buildings.

The Minister said development authorities, including the CDA and LDA, will only issue approval certificates to projects that feature charging stations.

He said the charging facilities for electric vehicles will also be installed along motorways.
