He was addressing the Global Security Forum 2026 in Doha, Qatar today.

He said the recent Iran-US conflict has created serious risks for the Middle East and the world. He highlighted the role of the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, whose relations with world leaders and continuous engagement helped open doors for dialogue.
Mohsin Naqvi said he also participated in the peace efforts, including visits to Tehran and meetings with senior Iranian officials.
He stressed that peace cannot be achieved through a single meeting and requires patience, trust and continuous efforts.
Referring to the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, the Minister said it is a defence pact rather than an arrangement for war.
