Ali Sarwar Naqvi (Former Ambassador): There has always been a war of words between Pakistan and India. India launches such verbal attacks more often than Pakistan. Indian Minister of External Affairs made false and baseless accusations against Pakistan lately. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari responded to these allegations in a very lucid manner, terming Narendra Modi as ‘butcher of Gujarat’. These remarks have created a lot of stir in India and there has been angry response from Indians. For the first time, Hindu radicalism and nationalism has been fully exposed and pushed around the corner. The foreign minister has taken India to task for its abuses against minorities, especially Muslims, in India.
Sehar Kamran (Former Senator, PPP): Fascist Indian government promotes and abets terrorism. India’s missile lands into Pakistan and its spy Kulbhushan Jhadav is captured conspiring terrorist attacks in Pakistan. The way Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari showed mirror to Narendra Modi is appreciable. It is no wonder that India under its Hindutva ideology is persecuting minorities, especially Muslims. Bilawal Bhutto presented Pakistan’s narrative very boldly before the world. We needed to present Pakistan’s case strongly at the world platforms and that is exactly what Bilawal Bhutto is doing. He is following the legacy of former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and his maternal grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. This government highlighted the issue of Kashmir very effectively in front of the world and now it is being realized that Kashmiri Muslims are subjected to worst kind of atrocities.
