Finance Minister Miftah Ismail says Pakistan is looking forward to investment by Barrick Gold Corporation in copper and gold mine sectors of Pakistan.

In a tweet, he said the President of Barrick Gold Corporation, Mark Bristow has a very enlightened vision, and this investment will be transformational for Balochistan and Pakistan.

Earlier, the Finance Minister and Barrick president and Chief Executive Mark Bristow held a meeting in Islamabad.

Later, in a joint statement the two sides expressed their committment to develop the Reko Diq copper-gold project as a world-class mine that would create value for Pakistan and its people through multiple generations.
