The Federal Government is executing several developmental projects aimed at bringing Balochistan at par with the other provinces of the country.

The official sources told Radio Pakistan Quetta correspondent that one hundred dams are being constructed in various areas of Balochistan to overcome water scarcity while Phase-I of Kachhi Canal project is near to be completed.

The sources further said that 1.2 billion rupees have been allocated in Federal PSDP for dualization of 106 kilometers of Quetta-Ziarat road.

Similarly, expansion work on Western Bypass in Quetta will be started soon with the cost of seven billion rupees.
