Lahore Arts Council, Alhamra, organized an event titled "Sham-e-Moseequi" in Lahore.

Punjab Secretary for Revenue Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq was the chief guest at the event.

Renowned folk singer Shazia Reshman enthralled the audience with her rendition of folk songs.

She also paid tribute to legendary Pakistani music icons by performing some of their popular songs in her distinctive style.

Renowned poet Khalil Ahmad Afridi from Rajanpur presented his poetry which was widely appreciated by the audience.

Speaking on this occasion, Punjab Secretary for Revenue Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq said that Sufi and folk music form an integral part of Punjab's culture, heritage and spiritual traditions

Earlier, Executive Director Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal, in his welcome address, said Alhamra remains committed to promoting fine arts, language, literature, music and cultural heritage through quality programmes.
