A substantial increase of sixteen percent has been recorded in the number of Pakistani students in the United States this year.
This was stated in a report by the US State Department and the Institute of International Education.
There has been an increase of thirty three percent in Pakistani students in the US over the last two years.
In a statement, Pakistan's Ambassador to the US Masood Khan welcomed the growing number of Pakistani students in American universities as encouraging. He said this number will be doubled in the next three years.
The Ambassador said the presence of male and female students from every region of Pakistan in American universities not only reflects the close bilateral relations in the field of education, but this trend is a guarantee of further strengthening of Pakistan-US relations in the future.
