Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said a comprehensive strategy has been formulated to modernize road infrastructure and strengthen regional connectivity.

He was addressing a meeting at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry today.

Highlighting progress on the M-4 Motorway, the Minister said work to upgrade the Faisalabad to Pindi Bhattian section to six lanes has been expedited, expressing the hope that the project would be completed by December this year.

He said the Multan-Lodhran Expressway would also be completed by December this year.

Abdul Aleem Khan also announced a plan to develop the Nankana Sahib Expressway as a gift for the Sikh community, aimed at facilitating religious tourism and providing better access for international visitors.

He added that the Mansehra-Naran-Kaghan-Jalkhad-Chilas Highway would be constructed to enhance connectivity with China and open up new avenues for trade, tourism and regional cooperation.
