The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has revealed the dire situation of Afghan people, state repression and systematic violations of fundamental human rights by Taliban regime.
In its latest report, the UNAMA highlighted that restrictions on Afghan women regarding education, employment and freedom of movement under the Taliban regime have persisted into the fifth year.
According to the report, contrary to the Taliban regime’s claims of general amnesty, former Afghan military personnel continue to be targeted, with twenty-three arrested, nine subjected to severe torture and five confirmed killed.
Severe media censorship continues in Afghanistan, with broadcasts of the TV channel Rah-e-Farda still suspended due to criticism of regime policies.
