Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram is the foremost priority of the government.

Addressing a meeting in Lahore today to review Muharram-ul-Haram arrangements, she directed the authorities to ensure foolproof security for Majalis and mourning procession routes.

The Chief Minister directed that cold drinking water and Sharbat Sabeel be arranged along the routes for participants of processions.

She also directed that field hospitals remain available on the routes of mourning processions.
