The Gilgit-Baltistan Cabinet has approved to establish sixteen new tehsils in the region, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Gulbar Khan in Gilgit today.

In media briefing about the cabinet decisions, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information said the cabinet also decided to declare three hundred and fifty-four kanals of Attabad Lake as public property and provide compensation to the victims.

He said health department would be digitalized to provided better healthcare facilities to the patients.
