
A special live programme titled “Kashmir is the Jugular Vein of Pakistan” was broadcast by FM 101 Radio Pakistan Mirpur today.
The programme featured a panel of speakers from the fields of healthcare and academia.
During the programme, the panel discussed the evolving situation in Jammu and Kashmir, regional peace and stability, public issues, social cohesion, and the role of youth in society.
The speakers underscored the significance of the Kashmir issue, stating that it remains central to regional peace, security, and stability, and called for a peaceful and just resolution in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
They also discussed recent activities of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) and expressed concern over actions and protests that could potentially disturb public order. The participants stressed that while citizens have the right to raise legitimate concerns, all grievances should be addressed through peaceful, constitutional, and lawful means, and strongly discouraged violence, confrontation, or unlawful activity.
The panel further highlighted issues of public awareness, civic responsibility, economic challenges, institutional accountability, and the need for constructive dialogue to address social issues.
