Interior Minister of Lebanon, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, who is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, visited the Pakistan Monument and Islamabad Police Lines today.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry accompanied the Lebanese Interior Minister during the visit.

Upon his arrival at the Pakistan Monument, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Federal Constabulary presented a guard of honour to the Lebanese Interior Minister.

The visiting dignitary laid a floral wreath on Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered prayers.

He was given a detailed briefing on the historical and national significance of Pakistan Monument. The Lebanese Interior Minister appreciated the historical importance and beautiful architecture of Pakistan Monument and the Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

 Later, the Lebanese Interior Minister visited Islamabad Police Lines.

A special contingent of Islamabad Police presented a salute to the Lebanese Interior Minister. The national anthems of Pakistan and Lebanon were also played on the occasion.

The Lebanese Interior Minister inspected the special parade of the Islamabad Police and commended its professional capabilities and discipline. He also presented awards to Islamabad Police personnel for their outstanding performance.

Inspector General of the Federal Constabulary Riaz Nazir Gara, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, DIGs of Islamabad Police and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
