Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has stressed the need for continuity in sustainable development policies, economic resilience and technological preparedness to address global uncertainties, climate change and emerging challenges.

He was addressing the 29th Sustainable Development Conference and 4th Sustainability Investment Expo in Islamabad today.

The Minister said rapidly evolving technologies and growing impacts of climate change require countries to adopt proactive and forward-looking strategies.

He emphasized that developing countries must strengthen their economic resilience, diversify their international partnerships and expand regional connectivity to remain competitive in this changing environment.

Ahsan Iqbal said countries with diversified economies, strong institutions, technological capacity and skilled human resources are better positioned to withstand global disruptions and convert challenges into opportunities.
