Afghanistan is facing deepening food crisis with ninety percent of children affected.

According to UNICEF's latest report, about 3.7 million Afghan children are suffering from severe food insecurity. Widespread food insecurity, poor healthcare and a lack of access to safe drinking water have left Afghan children facing a severe nutrition crisis.

According to the UNICEF, acute food shortages have increased the risk of child mortality and physical wasting by sixfold.
