Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has said Election Commission of Pakistan has taken steps to ensure enrolment of women in voters list.
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice in the National Assembly today (Tuesday), he said as a result of these steps, the enrolment of women in voters list has been improved when compared with the past.
The house passed two bills which included the International Examination Board Bill, 2024 and Ghurki Institute of Science and Technology Bill, 2024.
Meanwhile, several bills were also laid before the house today (Tuesday).
These included: The Elections Amendment Bill, 2025, Trade Organizations Amendment Bill, 2025, The Parliamentary Budget Office bill, Islamabad Capital Territory Senior Citizens Amendment Bill, 2025, the Control of Narcotic Substances Amendment Bill, 2015, the Industrial Relations Amendment Bill, 2025, The Export Development Fund Amendment Bill, The Al Musaddiq Institute of Higher Education Bill, The Civil Servants Amendment Bill, The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Amendment Bill, Rawal International University Islamabad Bill , Pakistan General Cosmetics (Repeal) Bill and Wah Institute of Modern Sciences, Wah Cantt bill.
Taking the floor, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary stated that Pakistan has once again demonstrated its resolve and capability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Indian aggression. He paid tribute to the armed forces for raising the nation's head high by thwarting Indian designs. He emphasized that the armed forces of Pakistan are imbued with the spirit of martyrdom.
Other lawmakers also paid tribute to the armed forces and the nation for the triumph against India. They said the entire nation is united for the defense of the motherland.
