First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has called for joint efforts by all stakeholders to ensure the protection of children as a shared national responsibility.

In a statement on child protection, she said protecting children is the strongest investment in Pakistan's future.

The First Lady said children must also be heard, and their voices should guide policies affecting their lives. She stressed that protecting childhood is a matter of rights and justice, not charity.

Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari stressed the need to strengthen the child protection system, while ensuring prevention, reporting, investigation, rehabilitation and justice, with swift and sensitive institutional responses.
