Afghan women have launched a global campaign against worst gender discrimination under the Taliban regime.

An Afghan women's advocacy group has launched this eight-week campaign titled 'End Gender Discrimination Now'.

The group says Afghan women are completely deprived of basic rights, excluded from public life and education, risking future of an entire generation.

International affairs experts have termed this global campaign against gender discrimination, a declaration of rebellion by Afghan women against the oppression of the Taliban regime.

Afghan digital media platform Amu TV has quoted UNESCO and UN Women reports saying that 2.2 million Afghan girls are still banned from school under the Taliban regime.

The increase in incidents of public flogging of women by the Taliban regime is also alarming.
