Punjab CM allocates Rs310m for "She Threads" project

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has allocated 310 million rupees for "She Threads" project aimed at promoting the economic empowerment and financial independence of rural women in the textile sector.

Under the initiative, participating women will receive a monthly stipend of 15,000 rupees along with a transportation allowance. Women aged 18 to 45 years with at least a middle-level education from villages across Punjab are eligible to apply.

The "She Threads" programme offers ten specialized training courses in the textile sector for rural women. Training courses are currently being conducted successfully in Lahore, Sialkot, Sheikhupura and Faisalabad.

In a statement, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said empowering every woman financially and socially remains a key commitment of the Punjab government. She said skilled women would prove to be a valuable national asset.
