
Deputy Inspector General Islamabad Police Ali Waseem has said comprehensive security measures are being taken to maintain peace in the city.
In this regard, the Islamabad Police conducted a flag march in review arrangements to ensure peace and tranquility in the federal capital.
The DIG said security has been enhanced at all entry and exit points while the Capital Patrol squad is patrolling in different areas of the city.
He further said that a crackdown against one-wheelers, tinted glasses, pillion riding, vehicles without number plates, and motorcycles is underway.
Ali Waseem also urged citizens to cooperate with police during the checking process and inform police about any suspicious activity around them through dialing emergency helpline Pukar-15.
