President Asif Ali Zardari has extended felicitations to President of Singapore, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the government and people of Singapore on their 61st National Day.

In his letter, the President stated that Pakistan deeply admires Singapore's remarkable journey of nation-building and economic transformation. He noted that Singapore's success stands as an inspiring example of resilience, innovation and progress.

He highlighted that this year holds particular significance as Pakistan and Singapore commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

He emphasized that over the past six decades; friendship between the two nations has continued to grow, underpinned by mutual trust, goodwill and close people-to-people ties.

Asif Ali Zardari said there is vast potential for further cooperation in the fields of the digital economy, green technology, maritime and logistics connectivity, urban planning, vocational training, academic and cultural exchanges, and tourism.

He said that Pakistan is willing to work closely with Singapore to strengthen cooperation in the areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both countries and their people.
