The World Health Organization has urged wealthier countries to step up and end the Covid-19 pandemic as a global health emergency.

In a statement, WHO appealed to the fifty five of the world's richest nations to provide 23bn dollars in funding to help the low and middle-income nations to obtain tests, treatments and vaccines.
