Analyst at Moody's Ratings Grace Lim says Pakistan’s economy is more resilient to the Hormuz shock than during the 2022 oil crisis.
In an interaction with Pakistan TV, she mentioned that the better shock-absorbtion capacity this time around is due to resilience that the country has built through greater macroeconomic stability achieved in the last two years. She highlighted that lower inflation, a stable exchange rate and significantly improved foreign exchange reserves are providing Pakistan with stronger buffers to navigate recent regional and global shocks.
