Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has said that four hundred bed state of the art Polyclinic-II hospital will be made operational by 23rd March next year as per the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Talking to media persons in Islamabad today, he said the hospital would be constructed at a cost of sixteen billion rupees and would be equipped with modern facilities to meet contemporary healthcare requirements. 

He said order has been placed for the equipment and medical devices for the hospital and most of the shipment has already reached.

The Minister for National Health Services said bidding has also opened for the construction of King Salman Hospital. He said the contract for this project will be awarded in fifteen days, and its first phase will be completed in two years time.

Responding to a question, Mustafa Kamal said the initial recommendations of the inquiry committee constituted for investigation into PIMs fire have been implemented. He assured that the recommendations of the committee's second report will also be implemented in letter and spirit.
