Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to change its stance and fully cooperate with the federal government in the war against terrorism.

Talking to senior journalists at Parliament House in Islamabad today, the Minister said the provincial government currently lacks administrative writ in 12 districts, including eight former tribal districts and four settled districts.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry emphasized that Islamabad holds a special status as it houses sensitive state installations, foreign diplomats and embassies.

He firmly stated that no protest march will be allowed to enter the capital.

He cautioned that under the Constitution, the federal government reserves the right to declare an emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi continues to withhold cooperation in the war against terrorism.
