Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reiterated Pakistan's desire to further deepen defence and security cooperation with Belarus.

He was talking to a high-level Belarusian delegation led by State Secretary of the Security Council Lieutenant General Aleksandr Volfovich, which called on him in Rawalpindi today.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the evolving regional and global security situation, matters of mutual interest and the existing scope of bilateral defence cooperation.

The visiting dignitary reciprocated the desire for strengthening defence and security cooperation and appreciated Pakistan's role in promoting regional peace and stability.
