Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met UK Minister of State for South Asia Hamish Falconer in London today, and apprised him of India's unprovoked and blatant attacks on civilian population in Pakistan.    

He said 26 civilians including women and children were martyred while 46 others got injured in unprovoked Indian attacks.

The Finance Minister reiterated Pakistan's resolve to defend its territorial sovereignty and respond to Indian aggression in a befitting manner.

Muhammad Aurangzeb mentioned that Pakistan has made multiple offers to India to join an impartial and independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident but India these offers and committed wanton aggression against Pakistan.

He underscored the importance of a just solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute for lasting peace and stability in South Asia.

The UK Minister condoled the loss of civilian lives in Indian attacks and expressed the hope that tensions in South Asia would be defused through dialogue and engagement.
