Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to enhance partnership in emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence.
The understanding was reached during meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and his Qatari counterpart Ali Bin Ahmed Al Kuwari in Doha.
Both sides reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen economic ties, particularly by maximizing opportunities created through the newly concluded GCC-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement, expanding trade flows, and deepening energy cooperation, including long-term LNG collaboration.
They discussed collaboration on digital infrastructure, skills development, and regulatory reform, and agreed to establish structured mechanisms to carry forward joint work in trade diversification, technology, climate resilience, and investment facilitation.
They expressed confidence that Pakistan-Qatar relations are entering a new phase of strategic growth.
